How often should I get an alignment?

The alignment specialists at our shop would recommend an alignment once per year.

What is proper wheel alignment?

All 4 wheels point straight ahead and are parallel to each other. The wheels are perpendicular to the road and perpendicular to their axles. The angles are defined in specific degrees and noted by the vehicle’s manufacturer.

How do wheels get out of proper alignment?

It does not take much for your vehicle to go out of alignment. Normal wear and tear will eventually need an alignment adjustment on most vehicles.

Additional things to consider:
Potholes can make small alignment issues get worse. Bumping a curb while parallel parking can make small alignment issues get worse. Hitting a concrete parking barrier in front of a parking spot can cause alignment issues.
