Why is my engine stalling after replacing my car battery?
If your car completely lost battery power, it’s possible that your car’s computer lost vital information that is needed to regulate engine performance. This can cause the engine to stall even after replacing the car battery. However, it is likely that the car’s system will quickly relearn this information, and engine performance will soon return to normal. In some instances, it may be necessary to clean the throttle body or the idle air control valve. Carbon deposits can build up on these parts over time and exceed the computer’s ability to regulate engine performance.
How do I change my keyless entry remote battery?
If you are having difficulty changing the battery in your keyless entry remote, here are some steps that you can take to make the process go smoothly:
1. Remove the metal blade key from the remote
2. Using a standard flat head screwdriver, gently pry open the fob
3. Remove the battery, which will likely be a small round lithium watch battery.
4. Insert a new battery.
5. Snap the key fob back together.
6. Insert the metal blade key back into the fob.
